We only have two sources of information for Ellen Driscoll. One is a set of notes on each of the John H. Driscoll's that states that John H. Driscoll was the "sixth oldest child of Patrick and Ellen Driscoll."

The other source of information is the 1860 Federal Census, that has listed in Ward 4 of the City of Boston the following members of a household: Patrick Driscoll, 35, laborer, born in Cork, Ireland. Ellen, 30, born in Cork, Ireland. Cornelius, 15, born in Cork, Ireland. John, age 5, born in Boston, Massachusetts. William, age 2, born in Boston, Massachusetts.

We figure she must have been born in about 1830 since he was 30 in 1860.

She proabably came to the United States some time between 1845 (when Cornelius was born in Ireland) and 1855 (when John was born in Boston).
