Driscoll was the "sixth oldest child of Patrick and Ellen Driscoll." The other source of information is the 1860 Federal Census, that has listed in Ward 4 of the City of Boston the following members of a household: Patrick Driscoll, 35, laborer, born in Cork, Ireland. Ellen, 30, born in Cork, Ireland. Cornelius, 15, born in Cork, Ireland. John, age 5, born in Boston, Massachusetts. William, age 2, born in Boston, Massachusetts. We figure he must have been born in about 1825 since he was 35 in 1860. He proabably came
to the United States
